Laboratory of Printing & Packaging Material and Technology of the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication was founded in July 2002 and then confirmed as Beijing Area Major Laboratory. The Lab. mainly studies advanced and applied research work in the field of printing and packaging material and technology, which has Lab. of Information Recording Material, Lab. of Plasma Physics and Material, Lab. of Printing Material, Lab. of Packaging Material and Testing Center. Now there are 16 full-time scientific researching teachers and 10 part-time scientific researching teachers, who take on teaching tasks of Master Specialty of "Material Physics and Chemistry" and Undergraduate Specialty of "Macromolecule Material and Engineering" except scientific research work.

Over the past five years' research work, more than two hundred papers have been presented. Our lab has also done several researching topics with other institutes and colleges in China and done some co-research work with labs and researchers of Malaysia, USA, Japan, Holland, Korea and so on.
