The Clorox Company is a $4.6 billion multinational manufacturer and marketer of household products and products for institutional markets. Founded in 1913 as The Electro-Alkaline Company, the company originally produced industrial-strength liquid bleach at its first plant in Oakland, Calif. Today, Clorox manufactures a wide range of consumer products in more than two dozen countries and markets them in more than 120 countries. The company also sells products to food service and professional cleaning customers throughout the United States.

New products are developed at the company's research and development facilities in Pleasanton, Calif.; Willowbrook, Ill.; and Buenos Aires, Argentina. The world wide Packaging staff consists of about 100 Scientist and Engineers. Within the Clorox Packaging group, there is a Forward Technology group dedicated to investigating and assessing emerging technologies.
