China Packaging Research & Test Centre (CPRTC) was collectively established by the Chinese government and French government in 1988. In 2003, with the support of the Chinese government, CPRTC expanded and built new testing laboratories. It is the biggest national and professional packaging research and test institute in Asia and Affiliated with China National Packaging Corporation. The testing laboratories of CPRTC are accredited by the Certification Accreditation Administration of China, and are certified by the China National Accreditation Board for Laboratories. CPRTC provides quality testing for products, packaging materials and transport packages as well as conducting research and development for new packaging technology and new products. CPRTC became an ISTA Certified Laboratory in 2002 and joined the ASTM as an Organizational Member in 2004.
