INCPEN is a research organisation funded by a group of companies with a common interest in packaging, the environment and sustainable development.

We aim to:

• ensure that policy on packaging makes a positive contribution to sustainability
• encourage industry to minimise the environmetnal impact of packaging and packaged goods and continuously improve packaging
• explain the role of packaging in society.

INCPEN's members are international and British companies involved in all aspects of packaged goods—material suppliers, packaging manufacturers, producers, wholesalers and retailers of packaged goods—who share a vision of the future where all production, distribution, and consumption are sustainable.

We work with a wide range of stakeholders from consumer and environmental groups, local government and since 1989 have produced highly regarded educational resources for schools and colleges.
