Thai Packaging Centre was established in 1984 according to the National Economic and Social Development Plan under department of Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research, which is a non-profit state enterprise. The objectives of the centre are to help improving and preserving the quality of products, decrease losses during transportation, raise export and up-grade packaging standards of the country to serve the need of government and private sectors. The main activities are research and development, testing and education including information, consultancy, seminar and training on packaging. The centre has connections with packaging industries, concerned government bodies and educational institutions.
