ITENE is a Research Institute for Packaging, Transport and Logistics. It is a national, private, non profitmaking association made up of companies and institutions related direct or indirectly to Packaging, Transport and Logistics.

There are 56 employees working in the Institute. Our mission is to improve the enterprise competitiveness through the promotion of the investigation, the development, the innovation and the benefit of advanced technological services in Packaging, Transport and Logistics. ITENE helps companies focusing on: research projects,innovation and development of packaging technology, transport and logistics, Advanced tecnology services, Environment, Testing, Technological Transfer, Information and Documentation, Dangerous Goods, Maintenance, Training, Design and Quality.

ITENE is an active member of the following organizations and associations related to the surroundings of the innovation centers and technology, the activity activity of normalization and the sector of packaging and transport in the national and international scope.

• FEDIT : Spanish Federation of Organizations of Innovation and Technology.
• EPIC : European Packaging Institute Consortium.
• AENOR : ITENE participates in different normalization activities.
• HISPACK : ITENE is a member of the Organizing Committee of the International Packaging Fair, taking place in Barcelona every two years.
• EULAPACK : Euro-latin American network of Innovation and Tecnology Packaging Centres.
• IAPRI : International Association of Packaging Research Institutes.
• ASPACK : Spanish Association of packaging and transformed cardboard manufacturers.
• EIA : European International Association.
