The Packaging Group at Kobe University focuses on research and education, and is complemented with joint research projects in several areas of packaging, including logistics and material chemistry. The group is fully equipped with a modern packaging laboratory, is part of the Department of Maritime Sciences. The group started its activities on October 2003 with the primary goal of providing packaging research and education in the department. Facing Osaka Bay, our school also has the Rokko Range as its hinterland and is situated at the eastern of Kobe Port, one of the largest ports in Japan.

Graduate students also support the activities of the program.
